I have used Halfords on many occasions for everything from a new tyre to a major service. Their service is always exceptional with an honest and professional approach. I would highly recommend Halfords if you want peace of mind when maintaining your car!

Easy to book,no hidden charges, good service, only reservation would be added recommendations such as full drain and refill of anti freeze, brake fluid, power steering which would increase price and are stated on your invoice as amber warning which may put off buyer if selling car, when not necessarily required by manufacturer service schedule

My first visit was for an mot on my bmw after contestant problems with other garages I visited Halfords on the Erskine industrial estate and spoke to Matt the manager. Top guy honestly him and his team are too guys. Nothing was to much trouble they got be a good deal on tyres told me that two of them can wait a while rather than trying to con me into buying 4. Then my next car a range rover sport has had nothing but problems again sorted out by matt and his team. Saved me a packet compared to main dealer and the work is top quality and easy to understand. I have and will be reccomending these guys to everyone I know.

After purchasing a Vauxhall Astra SRI with 12,000 on the clock and costing 10,000.00 from Arnold Clark, I've had it regularly serviced but have experienced numerous problems, namely : EMU failed to which I put it into Vauxhalls ( Lookers ) Summer 2013 who had it for 2 weeks. They told me the reason it broke down was that the light had been left on in the glove box cosequently draining the battery which was utter nonsence. Within an hour of picking it up ( supposedly fixed ) it broke down again and had to be lifted and taken back to Vauxhalls. Same problem in again. The car is now 4 years old and out of warranty, only 35,000 on the clock, Matrix failed and car flooded with antifreeze++ At which point a friend suggested putting it in Halfords, Kirkdale. I took the car to Halfords where I met the Manager Matt who sorted the problem. Next problem a month later, I took car back into Halfords, once again I found Matt to be extremely courteous and helpful. He sorted the problem out for me with a replacement Engine Management Unit and Programme. As you can see from my experiences, at 35,000 miles on the clock this should never have happened. Fortunately Halfords sorted the problems out. I would never go near Vauxhalls or buy any of their cars as the service was abysmal. In my experience Vauxhall cars aren't fit for purpose.
