Why pay branded garage prices when these guys do the same job for less money. Have had front and rear brakes, MOT, 1 new tyre and a full service here rather than at BMW, saved myself £475. Customer service has always been good so now issues there either. You may not get a shiny showroom, free cup of coffee and a biscuit but you can go to Costa on the way back, and still have saved yourself £465!

So this is my 2nd visit to Halfords for an MOT. Coming straight from the school run I brought along my 8 year old son. Worried he'd be bored as we were waiting I asked if we could go to the viewing area. The staff promptly turned on the tv showing the guys at work on our car. The female assistant offered both my son and I a drink then went to get some arts and craft items to keep him occupied.My son is a very inquisitive child and the assistant was happy to answer any of his questions. As for the MOT..the car passed with flying colours. Staff were pleasant and professional at all times needless to say...I'll be back next year :-)

The garage was obviously busy but the staff dealt with my car in a quick, friendly and efficient way. Was a bit concerned as I had reacently moved to the area and wasn't sure where to go for my MOT. I chose Halfords as they seem the go to people for repairs and they had a good price. I was definately not disappointed. There was no fuss, I left my car, made sure it was okay to come back in an hour and when I did return it was all done and ready to go. Lots of smiles and a friendly customer service. We have used this autocentre for a few years and they always make us feel important even though they are incredibly busy. Have had two call outs to AA with flat battery and their patrolmen had recommended a new battery. Knew there was a Halfords close at Filton so just turned up - didn't have battery in stock but Eurocarparts is opposite so they could get one quickly. Came back by appointment @ 13:45 and by 13:55 job was complete. I did ask them to look at my CD autochanger which is jammed but they couldn't fix it quickly which was a pity. My only other disappointment was the 5% discount for an AA member-I would have expected it to be higher than that.

I recently booked my car in for a service at the Filton centre in Bristol. I asked them specifically to check my rear tyre on the driver side since I have to fill this with air every 2-3 days. When I came to collect my car, the gentleman at the reception said that they had checked it but couldn?t find anything but to bring the car back if it persists. I went to my local kwik fit garage in Reading (as I live in Reading) and they spotted the problem immediately. There was a large nail in the tyre which was glaringly obvious (I have pictures to prove this) and so I am amazed that no one spotted this! I suspect that either they didn?t check properly or simply couldn?t be bothered and just wanted to rush my service through so that they can meet their targets. I suspect that they didn?t have time to check it. If this is the case I would?ve appreciated if they had told me this rather than lying to me.

I have used Halfords Autocentres twice now and both times, they staff have been extremely helpful and friendly. The first time, I thought my tyre had a leak. It turned out that the tyre was fine but the team still cleaned it and put a sealant around the inner edge to help maintain type pressure, FOR FREE!!! I then took my car in for it's MOT, the first time I've done it myself and the guys there were just so helpful and spent a long time talking me through issues my car might be having. Could not recommend them more.
