I booked my car in with Halford to have 2 new tyres fitted. The tyres were very competitively priced and the booking system was very easy to use. The service centre reception team were friendly, helpful and efficient at check in and when I collected the car. It did seem to take a very long time. I was advised 45 mins to an hour but not more than one hour. I returned after 1 hr 10 mins and the car was still up on the ramps. I was probably there another 10 mins. When I got home I noticed that the front passenger side hub cap was not properly fitted. I clipped it back on properly and then noticed that it had been slightly bent out of shape, presumably when removed. It is not worth the hassle of going back out to the service centre to resolve, but it is a little irritating. Otherwise they did the job and the reception team were fantastic.

Excellent service all round. Friendly helpful and polite staff, kept me informed of progress on servicing my Renault, and although a major repair was discovered, this was carried out in a timely fashion and the cost was not too horrific! Will definitely use them again.

Booked & paid online, easy to do and able to choose date & time. The price was reduced - special offer. I dropped car off at allotted time, the staff were very pleasant & said it would be approx 1 hour and they would call when ready. It was ready in 1 hour, car passed with no issues. would definitely use again

I neede two front tyres so ordered on line via Asda Tyres. Booked to have them fitted at Halfords. Halfords carried out the work on time and swapped front wheels to rear. Nothing was to much trouble and very well done. I would recommend no hesitation. Would have been better if they had wiped the wheels clean after the work was completed. But can't complain.

The front brakes that I had fitted at the end of November 2014 developed a squeal. Halfords Eastleigh checked the problem and replaced the brakes free of charge. Very good service.

I was pleased to get a full service-MOT date within one week of the date of booking online. I think you need to change online when it says "drop off before 8.30". I arrived at 8.15 and the office didnt open until 8.30 so it was very unclear and made the mechanics feel they had to start earlier. The system doesnt help them. Brian (the mechanic I dealt with all day at Eastleigh Autocentre) was brilliant. He laid out how much each individual failure/advisory item was going to cost and what would be done to fix it. When I was unsure about the quote, he negotiated the price down for me. He also gave me a very competitive quote on additional work to be done at a later date. I was honest and said my car had never needed work on it so I was unsure of how the process worked, and instead of taking advantage of this (as my perception of how some garages would), he calmly answered all of my questions and didnt pressurise me to make a decision. Overall, there was a lack of competitive prices for the work that needed doing. Only when I spoke of other garages quote that I had rung around did the Halford quotes reduce to competitive prices. I would be more inclined to get work done here again if there wasn't this "game" I had to play to get a better price (which of course is no fault of the mechanic I have spoken about). I will use Halfords to get that additional work done purely because of the great customer service given by Brian. Otherwise I would be very much less inclined and choose a smaller, local garage instead.

The pricing structure on line was clear and reasonable. I'm always nervous about using a new garage as I don't know much about cars but I needed a quick appointment for an MOT and service and Halfords was available. Paul was a delight to deal with - he confirmed that i could drop the car off the night before my 8.30 appointment, kept me up to date by telephone and explained clearly the extra work that was needed. He took into account the limitations in the times I could pick the car up too and gave me a time for pick up - and the car was ready. I will use them again

I always go to Halfords for the MOT because it's cheap. But they also don't point out silly things and try and get the work, or pressure you into having the work done there and then. They also gave me good advice when there was an obvious MOT failure on my car when I was taking it in and rebooked me to later in the week free of charge so I could get it fixed without having to pay for one MOT to fail and then a second to pass.
