Arrived early and was dealt with promptly by a Receptionist called Emma who was very good, friendly and chatty, apologised for the heating being on because she had the flu,waited in reception for half an hour then had a walk and returned, car finished, told it had failed the MOT (not surprised) but I think some of the recommendations are a bit "questionable"- what's a "pan-rod"? and I`ve never owned a car which has an oil leak, the workshop was untidy and could do with a decent clean up and a lick of paint, also mechanics in filthy overalls should be stopped from entering the reception, and turn the radio down. Get well soon Emma.

I've been to halford Kettering for and MOT, appointment was accurate as the finishing time, the little fault failed my MOT, has been reported to me, and fixed by the team and MOT passed, the price including the repair was cheaper than a MOT itself in most a the place in Kettering, I was so happy I brought a second car same day just for a suspension check, and it was free, can't ask for better, thankyou to all ?

I call my car suzyQ...a Suzuki of course....getting on in years, 14 now. It was great not to be ripped off, as I would have been if I had taken her to the main dealer. She has been well looked after by Luke and Paul and after her full service and "decoking" runs like a breath of fresh air. As a female driver I found some garages can make you feel patronised, the manager in Halfords Kettering is brilliant, my car needed a tyre following the fantastic 'free check service' they never tell you need unnecessary work which is very reassuring as I have had horrendous bills in the past... What's not to like. Gave me some advisories - let me make my own decision on what to do. I take my car here every year. Just one little thing - this year a headlight needed adjusting to make it slightly higher. 12 seemed rather excessive for just tightening some screws.

I had pre booked on-line for a MOT. When I arrived there was adequate parking available. I was greeted and welcomed by a friendly and informative employee who dealt with me effectively and quickly. The MOT started at the time booked and completed within the advertised time scale. There was adequate seating for me to wait. On completion of the MOT the customer service guy explained any issues and provided me with a quotation for the works. But I felt under no pressure to accept, indeed I went away to think about it as the work was needed to pass the MOT. Great Value for Money.

The online booking system works really well and staff very friendly. However, I have a nagging feeling if all the work (track rod end etc..) was really necessary (for the MOT). Did seriously consider taking the car to another garage just to see if they came to the same conclusion but did not in the end due to time pressure. Next year will definitely go to another garage.

Just had a major service at my local Halfords Autocentre in Kettering, Northamptonshire on my Jaguar XK8. I then drove up to the Lake District for a few days then across country to Darlington and finally retuned home after about 500 miles trip. No doubt the service improved overall performance since fuel consumption normally averaged around 24 mpg but since has achieved over 30 mpg.The service was carried out efficiently having taken the car in at 8:30 am and got it back just after 3:00 pm and this included replacing brake pads. All first class!

My husband was very pleased with the work done, but when I dropped the car off in the morning the man at the counter was very rude , he also said we need to pay another 20 for oil which I said had been paid for online but he said it wasn't, which was later confirmed it was once he actually looked at the booking form it was a easy online process and work done was great but will not use halfords again due to the rudeness of the staff member at booking

Booked my car in for retest at 2 pm today(27th of August ) after 2 hours of waiting for phone call and many cups of tea later in cafe's I decided to walk back to garage,what a shock I got when they had not even started on it! I had to sit for another 1 and a half hours for it to actually get done.I come to this garage every year and this is my first complaint ,the reason for the wait I was told they were very busy, I just wished I hadn't of had a 3 and a half hour wait to get brake pads and discs fitted.
