PARK ROYAL WELCOMES ITS FIRST AUTOCENTRE

Park Royal welcomes its first Autocentre! -  October 2010

Four local jobs have been created by the opening of a new Halfords Autocentre in Park Royal.

Halfords Autocentre is the new name for Nationwide Autocentre, the national car service, repair and MOT chain acquired by Halfords in February this year. Park Royal is one of the first new sites following the nation’s leading car parts retailer’s entry into the garage sector, when it acquired the national car service, repair and MOT chain for £73m earlier this year.

The town’s brand new Halfords Autocentre on Hanover West Industrial Estate in Acton Lane, Park Royal, opened on Monday October 4 and is the latest site for the fast growing group, which now has 228 autocentres across the UK.

More than 100 cars a week are expected to go through the autocentre, which can also service commercial vehicles up to class 7.

Manager Stan Louis, who was previously based in West Ealing, said: “The arrival of a Halfords Autocentre in Park Royal is good news for both the company and the local community. Our garage is equipped with the very latest technology which means we can service all makes and models of car, old and new. Plus we provide dealership quality at more affordable prices and a friendly and efficient service from the same team with the same local expertise and experience that customers have come to trust.

“The local supply chain is also set to benefit from the company’s investment – orders worth in the region of £15,000 per month are already being placed with suppliers in North West London.

“We are proud to be serving the people of Park Royal and look forward to serving our new customers in the coming weeks.”

Halfords Autocentre is planning to open an additional seven centres nationwide before the end of 2010 and the network will be 400 strong within five years, creating 1,000 new jobs.
