I felt I had to write to commend Ken and his crew at the Hemel Hempstead
service centre for the help I received this morning.I had brake pad replacements carried out front and back by your rivals lastweek (the ones who claim there is no better fitter) and was advised the padsneeded bedding in after they were bled. A few days later there was noimprovement in the brakes at all so I looked up on the internet how Saabbrakes should be bled and all the advice on specialist websites said theyshould be cross bled. I took the car back to them this morning as I had aMOT booked with Halfords in the afternoon to get them re-bled.I had called Ken earlier in the week to say I had new pads fitted and theyare still in the bedding in period but he said to come along anyway as theyshould have bed in by then and they will check that when I arrive beforecarrying out a full MOT.Well when I arrived there this afternoon, my brakes were still feeling verysoft so it was advised that I come back the following week when they wereproperly bedded in.Just then one of the guys noticed through my alloys (as they have widespokes) that the calliper clips were not mounted properly, hence thecallipers not being pulled in correctly. I asked if they could take a lookand sure enough they did and fixed the problem.If it wasn't for the guys doing a proper job when checking my brakes prior
to MOT and being very helpful putting the fault right, I would have been
driving round with brakes that could have given up on me at any time when I
was just thinking they are a bit soft because they are bedding in. It's all
good being able to go fast but you do need to be able to stop.Have re-booked the MOT for the following week but as soon as I got home, I
felt I had to write to Halfords to ensure that their helpfulness in this
matter is recognised as this could had led to catastrophic brake failure on
the motorway at any time.. And they didn't even charge me for setting the
clips back in correctly.I need to carry out a full service on my car soon and it goes without sayingthat I will be taking it to Ken and his crew when ready.

Very quick and courteous service at Hemel He,pstead. Have already started recommending the autocentre to my friends. Thank you and no doubt you will be seeing me again as my car is due for a service soon if the price is as favourable as the MOT price!

I would just like to comment on the fantastic service received at your Hemel Hempstead branch today 13th March. In particular a member of staff R I Gregory. My car was having an MOT and problems arose as a result of work carried out at another garage last year which I was unaware of. Mr Gregory was very helpful and professional and despite these setbacks my car was still done within 45 minutes.

I used another garage for 10 years and when they moved I tried this company. I was wary when I contacted them but they put my mind at rest from the word go and I had good service and my car feels great to drive. I will definitely go back.
