A garage in the centre of Lincoln has entered a fresh era after welcoming a new manager.
The Halfords Autocentre in High Street is now under the guidance of Lee Woodall, an experienced technician and manager.
The Lincoln-bred father-of-one previously worked for the AA and has decades of experience in the motor trade.
Lee, aged 36, of Camden Close, said: “I’m really relishing the challenge of running this Autocentre.
“A good garage does more than fix cars. My aim is to keep our customers in the loop about what is happening with their vehicle and help them take a long-term approach to caring for their car.
“As opposed to just repairing or servicing the car and sending the driver on their way, we will make sure they understand the work undertaken and schedule check-ups so the car is properly maintained, avoiding nasty surprises further down the road.
“We’ve now got a fantastic team in place and are looking forward to improving the service for existing customers - and welcoming new ones.”
As well as his love of cars, Lee is also a keen walker and cycling fanatic who one day aims to complete the gruelling Coast to Coast cycling challenge.
He was due to take the challenge this year but damaged his calf muscle a week before it took place.
He said: “It was ironic. All the exercise I do and I tore my muscle getting up to answer the phone!”
