Reserve your Winter Tyres Now for Winter 2011/12
We know that many of our customers wanted winter tyres last winter but could not get them as the whole country just about sold out within 2 days when the snow arrived. We have now teamed up with a couple of the key tyre suppliers to guarantee prices now for October 2011 despite continuous increases in raw materials being notified every month.
What to do if you want Winter Tyres
If you want winter tyres for October 2011 then by placing an order by Saturday 30th April 2011 we can guarantee the price (a few price increases are possible between now and then) and reserve the stock with your name on it.
To reserve the stock all you have to do is:-
-
Check the PDF list of winter tyres available to order to confirm if your tyre requirements will be available. (if not see note below)
-
Go into one of our Autocentres for them to check the size and speed rating of your tyres
-
Confirm the tyres you want from the product list
-
Pay a deposit of 25% with the remaining amount payable on fitting
Your tyres will be delivered in October / November and we will then contact you to arrange a suitable time for fitting.
Note: If your tyre size is not shown in the list then there is less chance that we can guarantee to get the tyres for your car. However we can enquire specifically for you and provide some options. Please send and enquiry to us with your tyre size and location and we will contact you as soon as possible to advise what is likely to be available.
Winter tyres are often supplied at a lower speed rating so if you cannot find the normal specification of tyre please use the following table as guidance:

Why Winter Tyres?
Unlike normal tyres, winter tyres do not harden at lower temperatures and their much higher number of small grooves (called sipes) give much greater traction on cold and especially icy roads. The greater grip means you are able to stop in a shorter distance, which reduces the chance of an accident & damage and helps to retain grip on ice covered inclines
Winter tyres are as quiet and comfortable as summer tyres and, thanks to sophisticated compound technology, do not wear any more quickly. Numerous independent blogs have recently had comments from people who have tried them this last winter with widespread praise on most of them, including fleet companies who are very cautions with their spending.
