Booked my MOT online with halfords. Easy and quick process. Had a confirmation e-mail which I took along with me on the day. Took my car along was greeted politely and asked if I was waiting or coming back. We chose to come back later so they confirmed my mobile number so they could let me know when it was done. Within the hour I had a phone call to tell me that my car was ready with no issues. When I went back to collect my car the guy explained the advisories on my MOT but didn't push any sales opportunities on me. The quite for the work was attached to my MOT certificate for me to look at later. All in all a good experience.

They give extra charges to the customer saying there's a problem and need to replace but there isn't a problem,it's good that i'm car mechanic and I ask the staff to show it to me, and he just smile to cover his embarrassment and he said sometimes things happen and my car is temperamental,I didn't buy his reason. This is my 2nd experience for Mot and what's coincidence is its same problem I encountered, to the fact that I paid £200 for service in the authorised car dealer, days before my Mot in halfords. This is a normal reaction of the customer to the abnormal situation and just to make and set the things right,thank you!
Fuss free process to book the car in for it's annual service. A problem with the brake discs and pads was identified during the service - but these were replaced under the "Brakes For Life" deal/scheme - so not a significant cost for me. All work completed in good time. No hesitation in recommending to others.
Prebooked MOT with Halfords online for 4:45pm. When I arrived (on time) they took my keys and started the MOT test straight away. Upon my return to the garage the advisories on the MOT were explained to me and further questions answered. I have used Halford's for half price MOT's for various vehicles in our company for the last 2 or 3 years and think it is an excellent price and service.

My daughter was recently in despair because a London Mini dealership had quoted her nearly £900 to fix a water leak and £70 for the diagnosis. I told her to go to her local Halfords because the Bath Autocentre has always been excellent. Her local Halfords centre fixed the leak using a genuine Mini part for £95 including diagnosis. Well done - you have another convert.
I took my Kia to Halfords for an MOT and sat in the waiting room with my laptop. My MOT was finished in around an hour. My car had one broken bulb which was changed straight away. I was really pleased with the fast and efficient service that I received. This is the second time I have had an MOT with Halfords.

My booking was for annual MOT test. I booked online with payment in advance. I delivered the car shortly before the time of my appointment. Just over an hour later I received a mobile phone message that the car was ready and had passed the test. Very satisfied.

Car ws sorted in two hours
I booked my car in for an MOT and 4 new tyres, knowing that it would need these for the MOT. The tyre widget on line gave me the wrong tyre size so I had to spend an extra £150 getting the right size tyre and do without my car for an extra 24 hours. The car was also MOT'd without the tyres being changed, which was pointless really, given that I'd already paid for the new tyres and asked for them to be fitted. The car then needed to be re-MOT'd with the new tyres. It was dark when I finally picked the car up and so the only thing I noticed was that the electronic service notification hadn't been turned off, which was corrected, but in daylight I can see my alloy wheels have been scratched and damaged, presumably while the new tyres were being fitted, which I am very disappointed about. All in, the customer service was polite and helpful but the service let it down. I would need some persuading to return.
I have to admit, whenever I have dealt with Halfords they have always been great. Would highly recommend their Safety Check and Brake Check service.
Booked car in for an MOT, a t short notice. Got a slot on the next available working day (pm on 2nd jan 2015). The Car failed on a couple of minor points which needed attention and was rebooked for the following Monday for work and retest. I delivered the car about 09:30, and the Autocentre was kind enough to drop me off in City Centre so that I could catch a bus home. I received a phone call 14.30 to say all was done and car was ready for collection. Pretty slick operation, with professional and friendly staff. Will use again for service / MOT work
My wife's 13 years old car was booked into Halford Autocentres in Bath for service which was carried out efficiently and courteously. The customer service experience from the 2 members of staff Paul and Steve was excellent. Their briefing on the car's condition and recommendations when I came to collect it was informative and delivered without pressure. I would definitely recommend these guys.
Booked on line easy, completed job well. Wheel nuts were also torqued up properly and not over tightened like some outfits.

The team at Halfords Bath were superb in fixing a rear light issue that I had on my BMW X5, They did their best to get me safely back on the road there and then when I had the problem. Excellent service.

I ordered tyres online. The process was simple and very efficient in particular the ability to confirm tyre size by entering the Reg. number. I got my MOT here and then a service. All went very smoothly with good advice and no excessive pressure to do extra work. Very friendly and helpful approach from Paul and the mechanic. I asked for a very tight turnaround for the service job which was not quite possible due to the extra work needed.
Great to be able to drop the car off when the garage opens and pick it up at closing time. It meant I could avoid taking time off work - very convenient. The mechanics were informative and approachable - and I thought it was a thorough and professional job.

In short, you can book in on line and the system works. The team are always expecting you and have the paperwork ready. They are excellent at keeping in touch with you during the day and do their best to sort any work that's found to need doing on the day. The car is ready at the time they say and the staff are always pleasant - even at the end of some very long days. I've used them for some years for an ancient Micra and a Landrover and they are equally skilled at maintaining both.
An easy and quick way to get your car MOT done - very quick and efficient, I spent an hour at the park with my son while it was done!

The staff were very helpful with information, as I am moving to Weston-super-mare, and the man looked up the address of Halfords at w.s.m. for me. And also printed it off for me, which I thought was very good of him. I also appreciated the low charge for MOT, on special deal. Thank you. PS. Will go to Halfords if I need the car repaired, when I have moved. And MOT next year.
The website was very easy to book a service for the very next working day at a convenient time. The staff were helpful when handing in the keys and let me know a rough time. They phoned after a few hours to let me know the car was ready to be picked up and once I arrived they went through any issues the service brought up.

The service centre was inviting with friendly, staff. The car was dropped off at 1300 with no dramas at all for an MOT and air con recharge. This should have take no longer that 90 minutes but the car wasn't available until 1610. Again, I have no quarrels with the customer service, it was exemplary on collection. Upon leaving the centre however, I discovered mucky finger-prints on the interior roof, near the door frame that definately wasn't there before. Why anyone would need to place their hands there for any reason for an MOT or air con recharge is beyond me. Slightly annoying but it's not enough to stop me using Halfords Autocentres again. Overall, thumbs up.
Speedy visit with great sales
Paul was very welcoming and friendly and the job was completed professionally with no issues. it did take a little longer than the estimated hour which meant some hanging around and unfortunately the fitter forgot to return the locking wheel nuts which meant a return visit to the centre to collect them. Thank you
